maybe a change would keep me high, stop me thinking and wondering why.


Lately, I have given a great deal of thought to why I love makeup.

It wasn't always this way - I hid away in boys clothes and was too embarrassed to wear any makeup at all. Once that started to change, I dove headfirst into my love for fashion and beauty, and haven't looked back since.

I find the process of getting ready electrifying. There is satisfaction in getting a look just right. It still amazes me that makeup can reflect the way I feel on a given day. I feel that makeup gives me the confidence to be my best self. I wear makeup because I love it. I wear for me.

Makeup is an art that I fall more in love with, with every passing day.

So, that is why I wear makeup. Why do you wear makeup? When did you become interested in makeup, fashion, and beauty?

    I totally wear makeup for me, too! In fact, my boyfriend prefers me without makeup, but I wear it anyway, haha! :)

    Personally, I don't really use a lot of makeup but I definitely can not stay away from lip gloss and some occasional powder. I probably started about 5years ago and I think it does give you some comfort in that zone... if you know what I mean...

    I feel the same as you. Putting my MakeUp on simply makes me happy and i feel better. Mostly i just do it when i am bored. I just sit down and play, swatch and applicate :)
    I started using MakeUp with around thirteen, and never stopped lol...

    Thanks for your comment on my blog, I love Rimmel London products :) I started using makeup when I was in primary school, but I didn't use very much. Whereas now I have a beauty routine in the morning and looks that I love wearing for different occasions :) Right now I love pink lips with a smoky eye :)

    I agree with you - makeup and fashion itself is art, every beautiful & stylish look is like a painting! That's why the streetstyle is so popular I think. Looking through The Sartorialist or Stockholm Street Style is like going to a museum to enjoy beautiful art of painting

    such a great reason and sometimes i wish i was more confident to really wear make up. I don't wear any on a day to day basis and the most i'll do is mascara and blush if i'm going to dinner

    i love makeup, but i really suck at it.... i don't know what's the deal, but every time i wear it, i feel like i'm getting so old! kind of depressing. this is a fab post, and it kind of lifted my spirits a little. :)
