From the drugstore to the dollar store to Sephora...it seems I can find fun beauty products just about anywhere. One example? The Beauty Boss Lip Gloss from Stila that is pictured above actually came from a duty free store. Makeup clearly is my weakness, even during times of travel. For a reasonable $10, it was possible to try out Blue Sky, an iridescent blue/purple lip gloss. That unusual shade was simply too tempting to resist. Ready to see what it looks like? The packaging for the Beauty Boss Lip Gloss from Stila is similar to the packaging for the liquid eyeshadows from the brand. It is rectangular, sturdy, and nicely weighted. The cap clicks into place securely and there is a doe foot applicator to apply the gloss. The quality is certainly there in terms of the packaging. Now for the fun stuff...the colour! Though there are many different Beauty Boss Lip Gloss shades available from the brand, according to the website, it was Blue Sky that was at the duty free store. Maybe this shade was not as popular, because it is a little more out there. But the fact that it is different is exactly why I had to purchase the gloss. This has such a unique colour and finish. It was an absolute must for my makeup collection. 

The gloss itself has a lilac purple base and there is blue glitter throughout. Though the Beauty Boss Lip Gloss in Blue Sky might not be for everyone...if you are someone that likes be a little adventurous with makeup from time to time, it is an absolute must. The colour is so fun and so different. I like to wear it alone or layered over a purple lipstick for a more dramatic finish. When it comes to the formula, the lip gloss is a bit stickier than I would like. Since this is such a unique colour, it is something that I am willing to deal with, but it would be nice if the formula was a little less tacky. Something to keep in mind? This product needs to be reapplied every so often to maintain that look-at-me finish. So, if you do choose to add Blue Sky to your makeup collection, be sure to carry it in your purse when you are out and about for any necessary touch ups. 

All in all, this is a really exciting product from Stila. I love the unique colour and finish offered, even if the sticky lip gloss formula is not my favourite. Since this is so beautiful and so fun...I am willing to deal with a little stickiness.
