beauty spotlight: winky lux joyful jewels gift set

When the Winky Lux products were released in Canada last year, it was a love at first swipe kind of experience. The Flower Balm pH Lip Balm was an immediate favourite and has been a staple in my day-to-day makeup routine ever since. Seeing friends? Winky Lux. Going grocery shopping? Winky Lux. Traveling? Winky Lux. The lip products work so well. The stain looks natural and it lasts for ages. It is the ideal no fuss flush of colour. For Christmas, my husband gifted me the Joyful Jewels Gift Set from the brand and the three products have been in heavy rotation ever since. Today seemed like a good day for a mini review.


The Joyful Jewels Gift Set from Winky Lux came with three different jewel toned pH lip balms, including: 

  • Amethyst pH Lip Balm (Pink Tone)
  • Rose Glimmer pH Lip Balm (Pink Tone)
  • 24KT Gold Glimmer pH Lip Balm (Warm Rose Tone)


The other Winky Lux pH Lip Balms in my collection are clear and have a different coloured flower inside. They are beautiful and add a gorgeous stain to the lips. As for these jewel inspired balms, they are ultra sparkly. I love the fun packaging and the glitzy product inside. Not only do these balms look fantastic, but they also perform well. Just like the other Winky Lux products, these stain the lips. The amethyst and rose balms are shimmery and pink while the golden balm is a gorgeous rose colour. I love that these add a nice subtle hint of sparkle as well as the stain of colour. Though I love all of these, I tend to reach for the Amethyst one most often. There isn't a particular reason why that one is chosen more than the other two, but it looks beautiful and I love that purple sparkle. All of the Winky Lux lip products that I own are used regularly. All of them perform well and last throughout the day. This Joyful Jewels Gift Set is a winner. This is one brand that checks all the boxes and then some.

    This set looks beautiful :) it's great that you could try it! Unfortunately, I haven't tried these products or anything from this brand.
