show and tell: back to school beauty bundle

The words “back to school” have not been in my vocabulary for quite some time. Clearly, my student days are well behind me at this point! Despite this, the Back to School Beauty Bundle was seriously tempting. This set came with an assortment of skin care and makeup items all in a cute pink mini backpack. Keep reading to see what is included and what items I can’t wait to try.

The Back to School Beauty Bundle retails for $60 CDN but has a total of $175 CDN worth of items. Definitely a good way to stock up on some goodies ahead of the school year – or just in general. The set includes the following items:

    • Ariana Grande Cloud Pink mini perfume (7.5 mL)
    • Benefit 24-Hour Brow Setter (2 mL)
    • Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel (100 mL)
    • Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream (5 mL)
    • Embryolisse Lair-Creme Concentrate (15 mL)
    • Estee Lauder Nutritious Melting Soft Creme/Mask (5 mL)
    • Jouviance Restructive-Glyco Pads (20 pads)
    • Neostrata Post-Acne Mark Correcting Serum (5 mL)
    • Philosophy Microdelivery Facial Wash (30 mL)
    • r.e.m. Beauty Midnight Shadows Eyeshadow Palette in Babydoll (full size)
    • Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (0.25 mL)
    • Too Faced Hangover Primer (20 mL)
    • Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (15 mL)
    • Vichy Normaderm BHA Serum (5 mL)

As you can see, there were an awful lot of products tucked inside that mini backpack. There was a nice mixture of skin care and makeup items, so this felt like a really balanced release. Though I am more of a makeup person than a skin care person (though I recognize it is important to take proper care of my skin)…there was a good blend of items I wanted and items I needed.

Since there was such an assortment of products inside (many of which I have not put to the test at this point)….I thought it might be fun to highlight some of the ones I was most excited to receive. There was a mini version of the Cloud Pink perfume from Ariana Grande, which was welcome, because I absolutely adore her perfume line. (You can check out my Cloud Pink review here.) Her scents tend to be very sweet and warm….and Cloud Pink is fabulous. I was also thrilled that the Back to School Beauty Bundle set came with an r.e.m. beauty eyeshadow palette. This one is called Babydoll and it has some warm neutrals. I look forward to putting this to the test, so check back for a future review here on the creation of beauty is art. Other items that I was excited to receive? The 24-Hour Brow Setter from Benefit (they have excellent eyebrow products), the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (which has excellent staying power), the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (an old favourite of mine that I have not purchased in ages), and the Too Faced Hangover Primer (a product from one of my favourite makeup brands). There is so much to test and try…some items that are new-to-me and some that are old favourites.

What do you think of this beauty set? Have you tried any of the products that were included?

  • testing the pixi eyelift max liquid shadow

testing the pixi eyelift max liquid shadow

Eyeshadow comes in many forms. Though powder shadows are the most common in my personal makeup collection, there is something to be said about a liquid eyeshadow every now and then. These are often boldly pigmented and can be useful when time is limited. More recently, the Pixi EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow in the shade Amethyst caught my eye at the drugstore. Quite simply, it looked pretty and purple. That was all it took for me to toss it into my basket. Ready to find out how this liquid eyeshadow actually performs? If it was worth the splurge? Here is everything you need to know about this drugstore product.

According to the brand, the EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow is an “extreme long-wear liquid shadow that leaves a smooth veil of flattering colour that can be worn solo or layered.” It is supposed to be easy to blend and buildable. Best of all? It claims to have a no-crease formula. This comes in several different shades, but the Amethyst one stood out to me most, because I love a purple eyeshadow. This one was especially intriguing, because it appeared to be a cool-toned purple. Though a lot of the eyeshadows in my collection are on the warm side, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for cool-toned makeup looks. I think this has to do with the fact that cooler toned palettes used to be really popular when I first dipped my toe into the world of makeup. I remember wearing lots of greys and cool-toned browns in the beginning. So, there is something nostalgic about a cool-toned eyeshadow for me. It reminds me of makeup looks that I used to love and products that used to be my must haves.

When it comes to the EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow from Pixi, there are some pros and cons. The pros? The colour is a cool-toned purple. It goes on easily, blends well, and has a really nice and creamy formula. The cons? The colour isn’t as bold or pigmented as I would like. Though the brand claims this is buildable, even with several coats, the Amethyst colour isn’t exactly vibrant. I think this is better for days when I want something a little more laid back or natural. Though the formula is really impressive and I like the cool-toned colour…I do wish that this made more of an impact . All in all, it is a decent product and I like it well enough, but it is not as fabulous as it could be. Perhaps some of the other colours in the EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow line have a bit more vibrancy, but Amethyst is more on the subtle side. This is a good option if you do not want something too over the top or want something simple for work. However, when it comes to eyeshadow, over the top is a little more my speed. It ultimately comes down to your personal preferences. Though this wasn’t an all out winner for me, the EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow in the shade Amethyst might be ideal for you. Consider the pigmentation level you like best before adding this shade to your cart.

Have you tried the EyeLift Max Liquid Shadow? Are you a fan of Pixi products?

  • my favourite fall fashion trends for 2024

my favourite fall fashion trends for 2024

Do you plan on getting your trend on this season? There are always lots of fun and exciting new trends when a new season arrives. Now that the fall season is officially underway…it is time to take a peek at some of the fashion trends you can expect to see in stores and on the streets over the next several months. Whether you choose to embrace them or ignore them, there is no harming in learning what they are. So, on that note, here are some standout fall fashion trends for 2024.

All About Plaid (and Tartan). There is something about these prints that just screams fall. This season, expect to see lots of plaid and tartan prints everywhere. From mixed prints to long skirts, there are many ways to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. Many designers were inspired by the countryside and that classic rural charm, so if that is something you are interested in, be sure to scour your closet for a bit of plaid. Want to embrace the trend but don’t want to wear a plaid skirt or plaid separates? Look for accessories instead, like a pair of plaid printed shoes or a headband instead. There are so many ways to have fun with the print this season. Just remember to choose whatever colour (or colours) you like best.

Sheer, Sheer, and More Sheer. Did you think the fall season was all about knitwear and oversized jeans? Think again. This season, one of the more interesting fashion trends is sheer fabric. All sorts of sheer skirts and dresses went down the runways. Some of the designs were more dramatic than others, but one thing was clear: dark sheer fabric is having a moment. When it comes to incorporating this fall fashion trend into your life, remember that you can be as bold as you want to be. Keep it simple by layering a black sheer blouse over a dark coloured tank top. Kick things up a notch with a sheer black dress worn over a body suit or black shorts. Remember that you can wear this trend however you see fit. Have fun with the fabric!

Leopard Print Everything. It is no secret that I love leopard print. A lot. It is such a glamorous print and it looks amazing on everyone. This fall, it is a trend that is expected to be everywhere. After all, it was seen on runway after runway after runway. It can be worn in a more casual manner (a leopard print t-shirt or a purse) or you can go a little old school and reach for pieces that look vintage (a retro style dress or a pair of long gloves). Playful or sophisticated….the choice is yours this season.

There are many other fall fashion trends to pay attention to, but these are a few of my favourites. It all comes down to the fabric and the print. Be sure to sound off in the comment section below and share the fall fashion trends that you are loving.

  • welcome peace and the crackling sound of leaves.

welcome peace and the crackling sound of leaves.

Finally! September is here. Though the official first day of fall is on September 22nd, in my mind, this is the start of the best time of year. The “ber” months (September, October, November, and December) are true highlights for me. In September and October, there is sweater weather, pumpkin spice, Halloween movies, candy corn, and spooky decorations. In November and December, there is snow, Christmas music on the radio, and all of the festivities. Ahh….there is so much to enjoy and so much on the horizon. It feels good to say that September is here. In honour of this new month, here is a little seasonal inspiration.

Now for a few seasonal tag questions to enjoy the start of a new month and the fall season. Feel free to answer these in the comment section below (or on your own blog if you have one) and share a few of your own seasonal secrets…

What Is One Thing You Love About Fall? There is an awful lot that I love about the fall season, but what I love most of all is the feeling that seems to hang in the air. It is a feeling that is full of possibility. It signals a fresh start and renewed sense of hope.

What Is One Thing You Don’t Love About Fall? It is hard to think of anything, to be honest. I really love the fashion, the warm colours, the cooler temperatures, the pumpkin scented things, and Halloween. There is so much to love about this time.

Are You a Pumpkin Spice Fan? Yes! Though I do not drink coffee or anything like that, pumpkin spice candles, chocolates, hot chocolate, and cookies are fair game. I especially love the pumpkin spice chocolates from Lindt. Talk about a delicious treat!

Where Do You Buy Your Fall Scented Candles? Mostly from Bath & Body Works, but I am not overly picky. It is difficult for me to resist a fall scented candle wherever I happen to be. This year, some candles from stores like Winners, Home Sense, and even the drugstore have been added to my home. I just love warm and cozy scents, especially ones with pumpkin and vanilla.

What Does Your Typical Fall Outfit Look Like? Fall fashion is my favourite. My normal fall outfit is a pair of jeans, a cute crewneck sweatshirt, and a pair of fall boots. (I have several boots. Some with a small heel, some with fringe, and some with lace details.) Once October rolls around, it is fun to mix in Halloween themed items, like my Ghostface plaid shirt or a pair of seasonal earrings. I love that fall fashion is comfortable and cute. It isn’t fussy or time consuming. It is simple but stylish.
Are you excited about the start of September? What are you looking forward to this fall?

  • review: clairol root touch-up and john frieda brunette products

review: clairol root touch-up and john frieda brunette products

It has certainly been an adjustment. Dying my hair is not my favourite thing to do and I find myself feeling resentful about the grey hairs that have forced a change to my routine. For the last several months, there are a few products that I have been using to maintain my brunette status. It seemed time to share my thoughts on them, just in case anyone else is in the same boat. On that note, here are reviews on the Clairol Root Touch-Up by Natural Instincts and some hair care products from John Frieda.

Clairol Root Touch-Up by Natural Instincts. How am I keeping the greys away? Lots and lots of hair dye. I dyed all of it using a box dye from Clairol and have been using the Root Touch-Up every month since. The rest of my hair doesn’t need to be redone at this point, so it is just root touch-up after root touch-up. Eventually, I will need to redo the length, but for now, this works. (The colour on the length turned out darker than I anticipated, but I’m just telling myself that the darker colour is better for the fall season anyway.) This root touch-up kit works really well and is actually quite simple to use. It has a plastic mixing bowl made from recycled plastic, so it is super simple to mix everything together. There is also an applicator brush, so the application process is fairly straightforward. This dye doesn’t have a strong scent (unlike the one that I used for the length) and it doesn’t make a mess. Since I hate the fact that I have to dye my hair at all, it is nice to have a kit that makes it simpler.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Colour Vibrancy Shampoo and Conditioner. As I may have mentioned once or twice…I do not like to dye my hair. I also do not like that having dyed hair means I’ve had to make a lot of changes to the products that I use. For example, switching from regular shampoos that smell lovely to colour safe shampoos. I have to spend a lot more time conditioning my hair as well, because the texture is slightly different than it was before. Sigh! Clearly, I am not handling the transition well. At any rate, I have been using the Brilliant Brunette Colour Vibrancy Shampoo and Conditioner from John Frieda. It is supposed to maintain the colour and prevent it from fading. From what I can tell, it works well and makes a difference. However, it is a lot more expensive than the shampoo that I was using before, so that is also an adjustment.

Even though the whole dying-my-hair thing does not thrill me…I am grateful to have products that make it a little bit easier.

Do you dye your hair? What products do you use to achieve and maintain your preferred colour?

  • mini fall haul (decor and accessories)

mini fall haul (decor and accessories)

Though my home has been decorated for the last few weeks (there are decorative pumpkins everywhere)…the official first day of fall was yesterday. So long summer! It is all cozy sweaters, scented candles, and fallen leaves from here on out. This time of year makes me especially joyful, which is probably the reason it is difficult for me to steer clear of fall decor items in the stores. I have done fairly well so far this year and have only added a few little items here and there, as seen in this mini fall haul.

Fall Themed Home Decor Items. My husband asked me what my obsession with little wooden signs is. To be honest, I don’t know what it is about a decorative wooden sign that I love so much. What I do know is that when I see a cute wooden sign….I want it. The Farm Fresh Pumpkin Patch sign was simply too cute to resist. I found it and the small pumpkins at Walmart for only a few dollars. Two of the pumpkins are fuzzy and felty while the other the wrapped in plaid fabric. The sign and pumpkins are all placed together on a shelf in my living room. These items bring undeniable fall vibes to the room! I love the warm colours.

Fall Inspired Accessories. There were a few fall themed accessories that were added to my cart at Winners recently. (It is almost always Winners, isn’t it? It is near impossible to visit a Winners location and leave empty handed.) The first is a pair of Betsey Johnson earrings that say PUMPKIN SPICE. I am obsessed with these earrings and have already worn them too many times. There is a large yellow stone and then the words dangling down. Since I am a pumpkin spice kind of person, these were essential. Next were some temporary tattoos from Inked by Dani. I have several packs of temporary tattoos from this brand and purchase them whenever I can. I love a good temporary tattoo and often wear them like an accessory. This particular set is zodiac themed and since I am a Scorpio, there are all sorts of tattoos that I can wear this fall and around my birthday.
What do you think of this mini fall haul? Have you purchased any fall themed items lately?

  • testing out the pillow talk lip kit from charlotte tilbury

testing out the pillow talk lip kit from charlotte tilbury

What is it about those little items near the Sephora cash register that always seem to catch my eye? Mini versions of mascaras, tiny perfume bottles, and travel sized lipsticks line the queue….and my eyes have a tendency to wander while I wait. That is how the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Kit was added to my shopping basket. Though my only previous experience with the brand was lackluster there is someone that I follow on Instagram who is obsessed with the Pillow Talk line. Essentially, temptation took over reason. Story of my life! Curious about this high end lip duo? Here is everything you need to know about the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Kit, which features the much praised lipstick and lip liner.

As you can see, this lip kit came with a lip liner and mini sized lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk. This is described by the brand as being a nude pink colour. The set comes with the “iconic bestselling lipstick with a Lip Cheat Lip Liner Pencil for a dreamy, nude-pink, kissable look.” The products claim to be long lasting, cruelty free, and without parabens. It was about $30 CDN for the lip duo, which is not that expensive in Sephora-land, but is not exactly affordable, generally speaking, for a liner and mini lipstick.

There are some pros and cons when it comes to the Pillow Talk Lip Kit from Charlotte Tilbury. Let’s start with the pros…the packaging. The lipstick packaging is really beautiful. It has a warm golden tube with the brand logo printed on the top. It looks retro inspired and elegant. The lip liner has that same warm golden colour and looks very classic, elegant, and chic.

Now for the cons. While the lip liner performs adequately, it is not the best formula I’ve ever tried. There are much better offerings at the drugstore. The Pillow Talk lip liner doesn’t have a lot of glide and the formula is a bit on the dry side. The colour is decent though and the nude-pink is nice enough. When it comes to the lipstick? This is a real miss for me. The formula is dry, the lipstick doesn’t seem to last very long, and the colour is off. It has this orange tint to it that the lip liner does not have. It’s an okay colour in general, but not one that is super flattering on me, and certainly not what I expected based on the brand claims or the praise I have heard from others. This simply was not what I expected in terms of the formula or the colour.

Fingers crossed that I have now learned my lesson. With two disappointing Charlotte Tilbury experiences under my belt, it might be time to accept the fact that this formula is not for me. It seems to be on the dry side, and in this case, the lipstick colour was inconsistent with the claims. Though I can see myself using the liner from time to time, it is less likely that I will reach for the lipstick much. The next time I am at Sephora, I will do my best to remember this experience.

Have you tried any of the Pillow Talk products from Charlotte Tilbury? What did you think of them?

  • emily in paris x revolution (review + makeup look)

emily in paris x revolution (review + makeup look)

Finally! Part two of the fourth season of Emily In Paris has arrived on Netflix. More recently, the streaming service has been splitting seasons into two parts in an obvious attempt to prevent people from binge watching and then cancelling. Considering the fact that the streaming service popularized the idea of binge watching…it is especially frustrating having to wait for the rest of the episodes. At least the wait is finally over and the remaining episodes of the fourth season are available. To celebrate this release, it made sense to highlight some products from the Emily In Paris x Revolution collection. Here goes…

There are an awful lot of products included in the Emily In Paris x Revolution collection. From lip products to highlights to bath soaps! The items that were added to my own collection are the City Of Love Eyeshadow Palette and the Champere Problems Lip Balm. The reason? I immediately loved the cute theme and how well tied to the show these products were. The whole collection is really cute and thoughtful. It captures the show and the characters well. Another bonus? Revolution products are pretty affordable. That means it is possible to enjoy all of the Emily In Paris themed goodness without breaking the bank.

It is always difficult for me to resist an eyeshadow palette. Turns out, it is impossible for me to walk away from an eyeshadow palette that is shaped like Eiffel Tower. The design is certainly unique and unusual. As I mentioned, it is shaped like the Eiffel Tower and the bottom portion flips up to reveal the eyeshadows inside. There are fifteen eyeshadows in all. According to the brand, the colour story is one giant nod to the show. “From the dark purple of Ringarde! to the baby blue of Savior and the shimmery subtly of Chateau.” Talk about a cute idea. There are mattes and foils included in this palette, so there is a nice amount of variety. When it comes to the matte shadows, some are extremely pigmented (Mon Amie, No. 8, and Ringardge! are excellent examples) but some are not as vibrant. An example of the latter is Selfie. The yellow shadow blends away into something very pale and barely there. I haven’t quite figured out an effective way to incorporate that shadow into a makeup look. The foiled shadows, these have a gorgeous finish. Though they can be worn on their own, the impact is much greater when the foiled shadows are added over the matte shadows. I especially love the shimmery blue eyeshadow, Savoir.

Next is the Champere Problems Lip Balm from Revolution. It is described as a “Parisian spin on a classic lip balm,” and has a champagne bottled shaped tin. So cute and well themed! Inside the bottle shaped tin is a vanilla and almond scented balm. Though this isn’t my favourite way to apply a lip product (tubes are better in the sense that you don’t have to worry about dipping your finger into a product over and over) this is a really wonderful product overall. The lip balm smells good, is hydrating and comfortable, and looks ultra cute on my nightstand. This is one themed item that is both fun and practical.

The makeup look above makes good use of the peach and pink eyeshadow shades in the palette. I used Normandy through the crease and applied Mon Amie all over the lid. Then it was Pinky Swear layered over top for that foiled finish and a bit of Poetry in the outer corner and along the lower lash line. Chateau was used on the inner corner and underneath the brow bone. Then the Champere Problems Lip Balm was used on the lips. These Emily In Paris themed products from Revolution are a lot of fun to use, especially now that the final episodes of season four are available. On that note, it is time for me to start watching….

Do you like Revolution products? Have you started watching the new Emily In Paris episodes?

  • life lately (wok with yan and shopping trip mini haul)

life lately (wok with yan and shopping trip mini haul)

Summer is winding down and it seems life is determined to cram as much activity as possible into the last remaining weeks. Events, appointments, get togethers, and on and on the list goes. Lately, my schedule has been a little busier than I tend to prefer…but some of that has been for some exciting reasons. Like meeting a childhood idol and doing a bit of shopping across the border! Ready to find out more? Here is a little life update post with some highlights from a few recent days out.

Wok With Yan: Wok Talk LIVE Event

Growing up, my brother and I would watch all sorts of shows and movies together. One of the shows we loved to watch was Wok With Yan. It was a Canadian cooking show and the reruns aired regularly. We loved the 80s/90s fashion the audience members sported, watching the food be prepared, and of course, the iconic wok puns that were printed on the apron of Stephen Yan each day. When it was announced by the brand RetroKid that they had found Stephen Yan, were releasing a merchandise line inspired by Wok With Yan, and were hosting a live event….I was thrilled. I immediately bought tickets to the event. Fast forward a few weeks and my brother and I were sitting in a sold out crowd of Wok With Yan enthusiasts. There was a moderated discussion and some questions asked by audience members, but mostly, it was Stephen Yan sharing stories and making everyone laugh. He is quite a character! And he has accomplished an awful lot in his life. Talk about someone who makes the most of each moment. After the interview portion of the show, there was an opportunity to buy merchandise from the RetroKid line and wait to meet Stephen Yan. Well, we waited for a very long time in line, but eventually met him.

Stephen Yan took my hands and said, “Cold hands…warm heart?” I didn’t quite know how to respond, so I said, “Maybe!” And he laughed a bit and said, “Only maybe?” Oh well. I didn’t exactly wow, but sometimes I get nervous and just blurt out random things. Thankfully, he was kind and charming. He made everyone laugh and did what he could to make it a memorable experience. This was his first public appearance in 30 years, so it was a big deal for everyone involved and all of the attendees. The Wok Talk LIVE event was a once in a lifetime kind of experience. I never would’ve thought that I would be able to meet someone that my brother and I watched for years on television. It was a really fun time. As for the merchandise purchased, my brother chose the wok pun apron while I went with the “It’s Woks Inside That Counts” hoodie and “Wok and Roll” t-shirt.

    Niagara Falls US Shopping Trip

Recently, my mom and I took a day trip across the border. There is this travel company that she likes to book with and they often have bus trips to various locations. This time, it was a day in Niagara Falls to do a bit of shopping at an outlet mall, Walmart, and Target. Since I was all out of my Little Debbie snack cakes (why oh why did they remove them from Canada?), it was a good opportunity to stock up. Though the day started out very early in the morning….we were able to check out all sorts of stores and have some fun. There were a few items on my shopping list, including some CDs and some birthday gifts for loved ones. Though I found a few presents for people on my list, there are still a lot of gaps. Ah well…the search continues.

What came home with me? Between the outlet mall, Walmart, and Target, there were a few items that stood out. For starters, the Little Debbie snack cakes. I bought a few boxes of Swiss Rolls and Zebra Cakes. I also bought these frosting covered animal crackers. The US always has the best junk food! I also bought the Target exclusive vinyl edition of the new Sabrina Carpenter album, some t-shirts (Snooki and a Halloween shirt), a bunch of Wish plush figurines, and the most amazing tinsel cardigan. Yes, you read that right. A tinsel cardigan. It was from Forever 21 and was clearly leftover from last Christmas, but for just $5 USD, I was able to add that glitzy sweater to my seasonal wardrobe. It was definitely an exciting find. After a long day of shopping, browsing, and buying, it was back home to enjoy my new treasures….and a few Little Debbie snack cakes.

So there you have it! A few life updates from some fun-filled days. Though these sorts of events can be really wonderful, there is part of me that is hoping for a quiet and laid back fall season. Fingers crossed there will be lots of time to nest at home.

How are you enjoying the remaining days of summer? What has been keeping you busy lately?

  • does it work?? lise watier 24 hours glam eyeshadow

does it work?? lise watier 24 hours glam eyeshadow

My loved ones are well aware that makeup is a passion of mine. I love to test out products and create different makeup looks. Recently, my husband came home with a little gift bag of items from the drugstore. Each gift bag purchased went towards a local charity, so it was a win-win situation. There were mostly some skin care and perfume samples inside, but there was also a full size version of the Lise Watier 24 Hrs Glam Eyeshadow. I was definitely eager to put it to the test. So…does it work??

First thing is first…it is time to take a look at the claims made about the Lise Watier 24 Hrs Glam Eyeshadow. According to the brand, this is a roll-on stick eyeshadow that lasts for as long as 24 hours. It can be used as an eyeshadow, eyeliner, or primer for the eyelids before layering on powder products. This is supposed to have extreme hold, no transfer, and also be waterproof. So, does it work? In a word….yes. This is a seriously incredible product. Though this Lise Watier shadow stick wasn’t something that I would necessarily have thought to purchase myself, it is now an absolute staple in my makeup collection. I am obsessed.

As for the claims that this is transfer proof, has extreme hold, and is waterproof? Those are 100% accurate. This does not crease or move at all. It is phenomenal. I chose to take this away when my family went to the cottage, because I knew that with this on, I didn’t have to worry about the weather impacting my makeup. No smudging, no running, no nothing. I love that this stays put all day without needing a refresh. Even with a good primer, my eyeshadows can crease in the warm weather, so it is wonderful to have a product that I do not need to worry about at all. I have worn the 24 Hrs Glam Eyeshadow from Lise Watier inside all day, outside all day, in the heat, in the rain, and still the results are the same. It just lasts and lasts.

There seem to be a handful of different colours to choose from, but the one that was included in the gift bag is called Sexy Glam. It is a champagne pink colour that reminds me a lot of the champagne shade in the old school Walking on Eggshells trio from Wet n Wild. I love that it can be worn alone or with other shadows added. Most of the time, I’ve been using the eyeshadow stick all over the lid and then adding a medium brown through the crease for a bit of contrast. Quick, easy, and sure to last all day long. I love that it doesn’t smudge, crease, or transfer and I absolutely adore the beautiful colour. This is a new makeup must for me. I love not having to worry about my makeup moving on those warm days in the summer sunshine.

So….does it work?? Absolutely. The 24 Hrs Glam Eyeshadow from Lise Watier is a standout product. Not only does it meet all of the brand claims, but this eyeshadow stick has made my life a whole lot easier this summer. No creasing and no smudging.

Have you tried the 24 Hrs Glam Eyeshadow from Lise Watier? Are you a fan of other products from the brand?
