The month of December often causes me to reflect on the past. Sometimes that means thinking back on traditions and seasonal memories. Other times, it means there is a renewed focus on makeup releases from the last year or so. The latter is certainly true today. I continue to make the most of the Too Faced Christmas In The City Holiday Makeup Set that was released around this time last year. My sister gifted me the set for Christmas and it has been a serious love ever since. Ready for a revisited review? Here are some updated thoughts, personal reflections, and even a makeup look for good measure.
Sometimes, it is nice to look back instead of looking forward. Even though photographs of the latest holiday makeup collections have been released recently (Really! Brands like Too Faced and Benefit have already shared images of their Christmas collections for the year)....it is nice to focus on the products that are already in my collection. One of my resolutions was to buy less makeup and use more of what I already own. Which is why it only makes sense to do a little revisited review here on Mansa Fashion. The Morphe x Coca Cola Awe Together Artistry Palette is a favourite of mine. I have used it many, many, many times over the last year. Since this is a standout product and is still available on the Sephora website, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to share my thoughts on this stellar 1971 themed eyeshadow palette.
Do I spend too much time on YouTube? Absolutely. I shudder to think how many hours, days, and weeks of my life have been spent watching makeup videos, reviews, fashion hauls, and well, a little bit of everything else. YouTube videos are an important part of my days. I like to have something on in the background while I do my makeup or treat myself to a video or two during my lunch break. It is always nice to catch up with my favourite YouTubers. Out of all of them, my favourite is beauty guru is Emily Noel. I have been watching her videos for at least ten years now. I admire her so much, because she doesn't do sponsored content, stays out of drama, and has an incredible knowledge of makeup. Whether she is sharing dollar store, drugstore, or high end beauty recommendations, Emily is always honest and fair. A few years ago, she released The Emily Edit collection with Revolution. It included The Wants Palette and The Needs Palette...and these have been an important part of my makeup life ever since. Today, it is time for a revisited review featuring these drugstore palettes.
Just over a year ago, there was a post on Mansa Fashion. reviewing the Too Faced Cinnamon Bear Holiday Set. Since my goal this year is to use all of the holiday sets and holiday themed makeup items in my collection...it only made sense to do another revisited review. It is a fun way for me to look back at previous posts, and also a great way to continue to put old favourites to the test. At the time, this set received rave reviews from me thanks to the selection of products, the eyeshadow shades, and that stunning lip colour. Not to mention the fabulous cinnamon bear theme and the adorable makeup bag. In the year that has passed, I have continued to reach for the Cinnamon Bear eyeshadow palette over and over again. So, today it is all about sharing my current thoughts as well as a new makeup look.
Time for something a little bit different....a revisited review. Honestly? Reviewing makeup is one of my favourite things to do. I always love testing out different products and seeing how they perform. But sometimes, it is nice to take a step back, and re-examine what is already in my makeup collection. Late last year, the I Heart Revolution Snow Globe Snowflake Palette entered my life. It was immediately attractive because of the packaging and the fabulous winter theme. At the time, I had mixed feelings on the palette, but have since found myself reaching for it over and over again despite those mixed feelings. Hence the need for a revisited review. It is time to take another look at this affordable eyeshadow palette.
