In the years since, I have continued to be a fan of hers and have posted about her music, makeup, perfume, and accessories on Mansa Fashion. many times. Now? It is time to talk about her shoe collection. I had seen pictures of various collections online in the past and thought the designs were super adorable. When my mom gifted me the Summer Ballet Flat recently (which E! News included on a list of Katy Perry Collections shoes needed to "complete your summer wardrobe")...it was exciting to say the least. Fashion should be fun, but every now and then, it should also be practical. Enter the Ugg Classic Clear Mini Boots. It is no secret that I adore the Ugg brand. Their shoes and boots are both aesthetically pleasing (my 00s fashion addiction never ends) and comfortable. I love that the inside is always warm and fuzzy...and the outside is bold and unapologetic. Once the winter season starts, my Ugg boots are in heavy rotation. I have a grey pair, a silver glitter pair, and a red pair with bows on the back. These are absolute musts when the snow piles up outside. During the spring and summer months? There are cute slip on sandals to wear around the house. Ugg really has all the days covered. Except when it rains. Ugg boots and drizzly days are not a perfect match. Until now, at least. Christmas time is here...happiness and cheer. Can you tell that I am in the holiday mood these days? It is no secret that the month of December is my favourite. I cherish each and every day leading up to the main event. For me, the days and weeks before Christmas always feel extra special. There are traditions to enjoy and decorations to look at. There is music to listen to, movies to watch, treats to enjoy, and opportunities to see loved ones. Though this is without a doubt a busy and hectic season, there is so much happiness thrown into the mix as well. Speaking of happiness, there are some seasonal favourites that have been making me smile lately. Though there are holiday staples (like John Denver records, Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, and Food Network holiday baking shows)...2022 has seen some new favourites added into the mix. 

Stuck in the 00s? Most definitely. I have to admit, it is kind of strange seeing the brands and trends that I love come back into style again. Even though Juicy Couture tracksuits and accessories were considered 'uncool' a few short years ago...they have suddenly become popular once more. This is excellent news for me, because I never stopped wearing any of it. I still have my Juicy Couture tracksuits, shirts, purses, and bracelets from the 00s! While I appreciate trends and think they are a lot of fun, at the end of the day, I wear what I like. If something I like is no longer trendy, that doesn't mean that I throw it all away. After all, fashion is not just about wearing the latest and greatest. It's about what makes you feel like your absolute best self. Thankfully, this Juicy Couture resurgence makes it a whole lot easier to find new items from the brand and fill in some gaps. Ready to take a peek at some Juicy Couture shoes? Every now and then, it just feels good to add a new pair of shoes to the closet. A lot of my shoes have become worn out and needed to be replaced. Especially a lot of my slip-on style shoes. So, when I happened to see the Sketchers Rainbow Rhinestone Slip-Ons with Air-Cooled Memory Foam, it seemed like a no brainer. Not only did they have a fun and colourful design, but they also were ultra comfortable. Even better? These rainbow shoes were found at Winners for a fraction of the original retail price. I always love a bargain...especially one that doesn't sacrifice style and comfort.

There are so many iconic Dr. Seuss quotes. Some make you laugh, others make you think, and some put things into perspective. Like many others, Dr. Seuss books and characters have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have memories of my mom reading different books to my siblings and I before bed. Of my brother's obsession with "Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now!" and our jokes about being Thing 1 and Thing 2. (My brother and I are twins.) Of watching "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on VHS over and over again. There is definitely a place in my heart for the characters and the world that Dr. Seuss created. So, imagine my surprise when my mom gifted me a brand new pair of sneakers. Not just ordinary sneakers, but Dr. Seuss inspired sneakers. These Sketchers sneakers have absolutely been elevating my outfits lately. I have been trying to have a little more fun with fashion lately. Forget structured skirts and ruffled blouses. Right now, my style is all about fun and whimsy. And these shoes are the perfect way to embrace that playfulness. 

Randy's Donuts is iconic. Though I have never visited the beloved Inglewood, California location myself...the storefront has been featured in countless movies and television shows. It is known around the world. Which is one of the reasons that the footwear collaboration between Randy's Donuts and Toms was so exciting. Anything related to popular culture is a must-have. Trends come and go....but cute and comfortable footwear is timeless. Uggs were ultra popular back in the 2000s, with celebrities like Paris Hilton and Ashley Tisdale rocking the colourful boots on and off the red carpet. They have since experienced a massive surge in popularity thanks to the fact that nostalgia has taken over lately. Me personally? I never stopped wearing my Ugg boots. I've had many pairs over the years in a wide variety of colours. It doesn't matter to me whether they are trendy or not. The fact of the matter is that Uggs are comfortable, look great, and most importantly, are warm. The latter is especially important to combat the cold Canadian winters. 

December is here. In some ways, it feels like it has taken a very long time to get to this month. In other ways, it's difficult to believe that this is the last month in 2020. Time is a strange thing...and this has been especially true recently. One thing that always remains constant? December is thrilling. It is a time of hope and renewal. It is a month where optimism is the norm and traditions are cherished. Though each time of year has its own blessings, December will always shine brightest in my eyes. There is so much to look forward to: snowfall, seasonal movies, moments with family, and the belief that everything will turn out right. To welcome in my favourite month, here is a healthy dose of inspiration....plus a look at my new favourite pair of sneakers. They are certainly well suited to the fabulous and unforgettable month of December.
